Your South India motorcycle journey begins with your arrival in Cochin (Kochi), Kerala’s historic port city. Upon landing, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing and getting acquainted with your motorcycle. If time permits, ride around Fort Kochi to explore colonial-era streets, the iconic Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, and local art cafés. Enjoy a traditional Kerala dinner to kick off the tour. Overnight in Cochin.
After breakfast, gear up for the first leg of your journey along Kerala’s vibrant Malabar Coast. Ride through palm-fringed roads, sleepy fishing villages, and stretches of beachside highways. Stop for refreshments and enjoy the scenic coastal landscape. Reach Calicut (Kozhikode), once a major spice port, by afternoon. Spend your evening exploring the local markets or relaxing at Kozhikode Beach. Overnight stay in Calicut.
Today, leave the coastline behind and ascend into the misty hills of Wayanad. This stretch offers winding mountain roads, lush forests, spice plantations, and occasional wildlife sightings. Ride through the Ghats and reach Vythiri, a peaceful hill retreat surrounded by thick jungle and cool climate. Spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring nearby waterfalls and tea gardens. Overnight in Vythiri.
Get ready for a thrilling ride through the Western Ghats, crossing into Tamil Nadu. Today’s journey winds through Bandipur and Mudumalai wildlife sanctuaries, where you might spot deer or elephants on the road. Climb the famous 36 hairpin bends up to Ooty, the Queen of Hill Stations. On arrival, explore Ooty Lake, its botanical gardens, or relax with a cup of Nilgiri tea. Overnight in Ooty.
Embark on the longest ride of the tour as you travel deep into Tamil Nadu’s scenic interior. Traverse forested hills, rural farmland, and winding hill roads to reach the misty hill town of Kodaikanal. Though long, the ride offers spectacular mountain views, peaceful valleys, and charming villages. Arrive by evening and take a peaceful stroll around Kodai Lake before settling in. Overnight in Kodaikanal.
This morning, descend from the Palani Hills and make your way toward the rolling tea estates of Munnar. Ride through hairpin bends, gushing streams, and cardamom plantations. The route is filled with breathtaking scenery and light traffic, making for a smooth and scenic ride. On arrival in Munnar, unwind at your tea estate lodge or visit viewpoints like Top Station. Overnight in Munnar.
After breakfast, enjoy a short but beautiful ride to Thekkady, through thick forests and spice-scented valleys. This part of the journey is slow-paced and scenic, with stops to view tea pickers and cardamom farms. Arrive in Periyar by lunch. In the afternoon, you may explore a spice plantation or take a boat ride on Periyar Lake, home to elephants and sambar deer. Overnight in Thekkady.
Today’s ride takes you from the green hills to Kerala’s backwater paradise. Descend through terraced slopes and rubber plantations before reaching the palm-lined canals of Alleppey. On arrival, check into a traditional houseboat or resort on the backwaters. Spend the rest of the day cruising through serene waterways, observing rural life, and watching the sunset over Vembanad Lake. Overnight in Alleppey.
After breakfast, take a relaxed final ride along the coast back to Cochin. This short journey gives you time to enjoy a leisurely morning and explore Fort Kochi’s art galleries, heritage streets, and cafés in the afternoon. Return your motorcycles and enjoy a farewell dinner by the sea, celebrating the completion of an epic ride through South India. Overnight in Cochin.
After a memorable ride through Kerala and the Western Ghats, your tour comes to an end. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a relaxed morning before being transferred to Cochin International Airport for your departure. Ride safe and carry home the memories of an unforgettable biking adventure.
