About Agra

The very first place to visit Masterpiece, the world famous monument of Love 'Taj-Mahal'.There is not much to tell about it as each and every fact about it is very famous and known to everyone. It was built by ShahJahan in the memory of his beloved wide Mumtazmahal. Today it is one of the seven wonders of India. It is situated at the banks of the Yamuna River. The next wonderful place is the Agra Fort. This was built by the great king Akbar in the year 1565. It includes the Motimasjid, Diwan-e-khas which are halls for the public and private audience,Jahangir's palace, shish Mahal and many more notable buildings. The Fort was once renovated by Shah Jahan and converted into a palace. Fatehpur Sikri is place that should not be missed when you goto Agra which was again built by Akbar when he had moved his capital. Other places which come in the must-visit list include Itimad-Ud-Dulah, Akbar's tomb, many more. Being the capital of the Mughal Empire once, the city of Agra has a big list of places that you need to visit and appreciate the skill and artistic view of the building and structure built here. Missing even one would be missing one wonderful and over whelming experience.
